Why can't I access my volume control in the drop down menu anymore?

[Android Central Question]

I used to have the LG K 10, the home screen drop down menu featured "brightness" control and "volume" control (with a 3 line icon that you can tap to access all the other volume controls ---bluetooth, etc)

I have the replacement (which is nearly identical in almost every way) the LG K 30, and I can only access the volume control by using the external volume buttons on the side of the phone (or by going to settings which is wayyy too cumbersome to adjust the volume)

Is it gone? over? Is there a way to get it on the drop down menu????
