Why can't I see the contents of the galaxy S7's SD card from my computer?

I am using the KDE Connect app to move files between my Computer and my Samsung Galaxy S7, I have no trouble transferring files from the computer to the phone's internal storage, but it is denying me access to the SD card in the phone. Is there any way to get around this, as I want to copy a large number of music files to the phones SD card?

The computer is running Linux Kubuntu 16.04.

Is this an app on your phone? If so, 3rd party apps don't have full SD Card access. They can only read files, but to write/modify files, they can only do so in their own app folder.
