Why can't I send or receive messages on my Zenfone 2?

[AC Question]

I can't send or receive messages on my zenfone 2.

The only way I can send a message is to restart my phone and it only works for 1 text. On the message it says "sent" but the message does not show up on the other devices. Please help!!!!

Welcome to Android Central! Are these plain text (SMS) messages, or MMS messages (i.e., with attached photos or other files)? Any problems with cell signal? What carrier do you have? Maybe you need a new SIM.
