Why can't I sign in to my live.com email on my MotoG phone?

Help please, I can't sign in to my live.com email on my MotoG phone.

I've checked all the settings and changed the password but there is still a sync error message. I don't know what to do. If I try to delete the account (with a view to reinstating it) it says I'll lose all my contacts.
