why can't people hear me

I love my Note 4. But all of the sudden people can't hear me...why is that happening...anyone

Carrier problem, bad mic, dust and lint in the mic hole, bad motherboard ...

If you can't see lint in the mic hole (and clean it out carefully with a pointed wooden toothpick), the phone has to go in for repair. There's no way for us to guess which problem it has.

mine was absolutely fine until it got a virus a few months ago and my data was exposed.... my phone hasnt really been the same since.... and keep getting fake update notifications ....

Is your phone from Verizon - and did you put a case on it? Many of the cases cover the microphone - the Verizon phones have the microphone in a different location than from all other carriers, and some cases will block the audio.

How do you hold your phone. I noticed that I held the speaker near my ear and that left the microphone further from my mouth. So instead I just place the microphone near my mouth and don't worry about the speaker. I tend to be able to hear people regardless.

Could you elaborate please ? What're you doing when they can't hear you ? Also what carrier are you using ?
