Why do all my pictures come out rotated when I have rotation OFF?!

In settings there is a "motion" option. Open that, and turn it off. I just figured this out, and it fixed all of my frustrating problems with pictures. I hope this helps everyone else good luck! =)

After u take a pic click the picture's settings and click rotate left or rotate right! This worked for me!

im having the same issue, i have a galaxy note 2...i actually posted a picture on instagram but had to use the rotation function to straighten it out...it posted fine. however a day later i looked at my instagram and my picture somehow magically got rotated again, and the filter was gone. ive tried taking pictures every way and they are still getting rotated when i try to post.

Turn off the phone and pull the battery out for a couple minutes. This happens to me every once in a while. The rotation sensor gets stuck for lack of a better term. Shutting down the phone should reset it. I dont know why but it only works if you remove the battery too

I am having the same prob while taking pictures.wen i hold ph like i m reading on it n take pic ,it is saved upside down.wen i tilt it a little bit,it saves in other ditection.i deleted all my apps thinking it might be cz of apps,but no help.plz help cz its really annoying.

I took my battery out for a few minutes and put it back in and it fixed the problem.

How did you get to that? I have an LG V10 and am having the same issue. Couldn't find a motion setting in my camera settings

I got a Note 8 with the exact same problem. Don't see a motion setting in the camera and obviously can't remove the battery to rest. What are my options?
Currently the only way I can post a photo and it show up correctly is to edit the photo, I rotate the photo to the wrong orientation, save, then re edit the new copy back to the original orientation and it will post how it's supposed to. But that's annoying af.
