Why do I keep getting message process server not responding

Phone is running slow and keeps going to home screen or will just go black also phone is using battery faster than it used to and is hot what can I do to fix this issue?

Welcome to Android Central! Which phone? Have you tried a new battery? Does this persist after a reboot? If you have a microSD card inserted, try unmounting it (in Settings>Storage), and removing it, since a corrupt card can cause various problems.
