Because it causes lag. Because it clutters the UI. Because it's UI is ugly. Because you can't uninstall it.Why is everyone hating on touchwiz and samsung?
Their phones are awesome. Touchwiz is a skin they use on their phones...it has nothing to do with the hardware. Their hardware is awesome. Their skin is awful.I actually prefer touchwiz over stock android, and other than Samsung's questionable legal history, what's wrong with their phones?
Then you arn't looking hard enough. LG is especially is arguably worse than touchwiz. I endured HTC Sense for 18 months and have grown to despise it.I get that everyone has their own opinion but I never see anyone really hating on HTC or LG for their new phones
No one is buying those phones because of the skin. They are buying them because of the hardware. Even Samsung knows this, which is why they will not give you the option to remove touchwiz...they know full well that if they did, most people would do it.Those are apparently the best phones, while the Galaxy S5 is just the successor to the S4, nothing special
I find TouchWiz pretty ok on my Note 3, the only thing that annoys me is that some operations have lag and this is definatelly not because of hardware but of software...
Usually a frame rate boost if nothing else. The UI will move smoother and faster on the home screen.^^^ what kind of performance enhancements do you get with those launchers.
If it works for you that's all that matters. Simpler isn't always faster, and isn't always less resource intensive.Sure they give lots of options. I played with them for weeks then I just went back to the stock CM launcher. I figured simpler means faster, less memory and battery used. It works, it's fine.

Once you go htc sense you dont want Any else
It is.I don't know, personally I feel Sense is the best designed version out there.
stock is too boring and plain. Hopefully L/LMP will change that.
...Vanilla Android is where it's at.

I've read for years now how people hate TouchWiz. What's so terrible about it? It does everything I need in Android; widgets, app drawer, notification pull down and the ability to download apps from the Play Store. I also don't think it looks too terrible. Am I the only one who actually doesn't mind it?

So does every other Android phone. Touchwiz is not an asset...it makes the experience worse. It does everything I need in Android; widgets, app drawer, notification pull down and the ability to download apps from the Play Store.

The Galaxy S5 has significantly more RAM, and a faster processor than the Nexus 5. So why is the Nexus 5 UI faster?
This may not matter to you, but it does to a lot of people. The S5 costs almost twice as much as the Nexus 5, and is half a year newer with better hardware. So people are understandably upset to see that a cheaper and older phone with worse hardware has a faster UI.
