Why do most people hate TouchWiz?

It's a Samsung thread people are going to act like 5 year olds when you say you don't like Samsung. I appreciate what they have done for Android though

Oh sure. With hundred and hundreds of new posts every day, you just decided to start reading the ones about a phone you want us to believe you don't like. Listen, its a safe place here. We all love our GN3, and we don't judge you for loving it too.

By the way, wicked cool profile pict. It makes you look totally awesome. Not like a poser at all.

I haven't heard someone use the term poser in years good job

I'd say that's stretching it.

What don't you like? Just curious. I've tried various phones.. Most Samsung but not all. I've liked em all :).

Why do people have to get sensitive when another doesn't agree with them? I dislike Samsung and touchwiz for the simple fact it looks awful. But seriously, let's get along.

By the way, the X runs great even if on paper its not as good as other devices.

TouchWiz is actually okay for me. The problem I have with it, is lack of customization, themes and what not. My wife has an LG G2 and I absolutely love the customization on her stock launcher. I use Nova but I really don't feel I should have to, to get some personality on my phone. I love TouchWiz features but it just lacks to me.

I am Aquaman!

Show of hands...

Has anyone's GN3 ever gotten bogged down? I have had mine for about three months and have experienced no bogging down-ness at all.

I'm glad you're having a good experience with your Note 3, but that doesn't mean other people aren't having problems.

I bought my Note 3 as soon it was available in late September 2013. It worked great until I got the KitKat update a couple of weeks ago. Now, it restarts itself at least once a day and it freezes / crashes when I use Chrome and Firefox.

I think some Touchwiz features are good and useful (multi-window), but there are many that are not useful or practical. ALOT of Touchwiz stuff is redundant with what Android already has. Personally, I trust Android apps more than their Samsung Touchwiz counterparts.

I don't get why people moan. If you don't like touch wiz just change the launcher and then you don't have to have anything to do with it. Or go and get a nexus, Motorola, HTC or LG phone. This isn't an iphone we aren't stuck with what we have.

Personally I like it and don't have any problems. That is the beauty of android if you don't like it you can change it. I hate the default keyboard, music player and video player so I found something else to use.

I don't hate the Touchj Wiz interface cuz I can just replace it with other much better launcher.

HOWEVER, I hate that Samsung installed so many apps that I will never use without the ability to uninstall them

I don't have a problem with Touchwiz either. A lot of people don't like any extras on their phones. I had a "vanilla" android phone once and although it was a great phone, I didn't care for it so much because I find I really do like a lot of the extras that are put on a phone. I may not use them all but I like having choices that are specifically designed for use with that particular phone.

Yes, but wouldn't be best if Samsung give us the freeedom to uninstall or to re-install them if we need them later?
That would be in the spirit of Android.
Instead, Samsung is trying to rope us in with their apps like Apple which I despise.

Yes, they should at least let us uninstall them but I guess I don't get to worked up over that. I just try and hide the unwanted ones out of the way. Who knows, I may even use one some day. Fact is, I try and understand the reasoning behind these decisions and try not to begrudge these companies their marketing decisions in the name of making money. That's what there in business for after all.

I think if you go back and read the line of my post that you quoted, you will see that I asked if anyone else is having issues. My suspicion is that most people are not having issues.

I agree completely. I could do without S-Voice and S-Search and S-NFC, but I love Multiview and the Stylus additions. But, the post I was responding to was talking about how TOuchview boggs down everyone's phone. I doubt that's true.

I like touch wiz. A lot of people do. If not Samsung wouldn't be selling any phones

Thanks. Your new profile picture is even better. What's next, the hat on sideways of the pants hanging half way down your ****? Either way, you are going to look very baaaddd.

You should have got a Nexus phone.

Touchwiz uses 1GB of memory with all other applications closed. Touchwiz bogs down the phone and many of its features are useless or redundant with what Android already offers. My Note 3 is the last Samung phone I'll own if they continue to use Touchwiz.

What is so "subpar" about the processors in Motorola phones? They are very capable.

I like my N3 and I like too Samsung Touchwiz and it's function.

Note 3 is my first Android and it is amazing considering how long I iPhone for.

Having heard how good android were for custom setups and after some research personally TW is great but I agree with others it wastes space and nova has locked me for now.

I have never spent so much time fine tuning my screens, ahhhhhhhh too many options

I don't mind Touchwiz. I use it on my Note3. But from time to time I use Nova
