Android Auto Spotify Voice Commands Hang

I have a Galaxy S6 Edge running Android 5.0.2, Spotify version 3.0.0.1124 and a Pioneer 4100NEX with 1.03 firmware.

When I give Spotify a voice command, the command is recognised but Spotify hangs at the "Getting Your Selection..." screen and nothing happens.

Have tested Google Play and voice commands are working fine.

Any help appreciated.

I have exactly the same problem.
Have you tried playing music directly on your phone via voice commands on spotify?
This is what happens on my phone

Just that you know... there must have been an update (either Android, AA App, Spotifiy or some kind of service app). Finally the voice commands are working properly. I can say e.g. play Metallica (even in German) and it starts playing.
