Why do random notification sounds interrupt Pandora when there are no notifications? Galaxy Note 9

[Android Central Question]

When I launch Pandora, my notification sound plays about 3 times and lowers my music volume. I usually have to pause and resume the music to get it back to full volume. It plays the sound without any new notifications actually appearing and continues to do so every few minutes.

Welcome to Android Central! Does this persist if you turn off NFC?

I never have NFC on.

Was there a fix for this? I am having the same issue. It does not appear to be volume related
