why does it keep showing "unfortunately touchwiz home has stopped "

My j2 just keep showing unfortunately touchwiz home has stopped . The first thing I thought of was to go to settings and factory reset it, but it wouldn't allow me to even go to the settings or open any other apps if it's not the recently open apps on the tab .. please help !!! Going crazy

Welcome to the forums. You should be able to download and set a new launcher. You can try Nova. It's a really good one and is free on Play.
