Why does it say querying purchased record when i hit apply on the go pro sms app

[Android Central Question]

I recently downloaded the go pro SMS app on my note 9 and I found the theme called icolor and installed it and it shows up in my themes but when I hit apply it says querying purchased record with a rotating circle and it just stays like that like its loading and if I tap on it it stops and brings me back to the apply button am I missing a step here?
