Why does my call log only go back 3 days?

my call log only goes back 3 days

My call log is only going back 3 days.it was only going back 10 just a few days ago.Its already caused me problems.I really, honestly do not have a clue why or what to do.

Also,I can't call numbers back from the log;I get "can't be completed as dialed message".I have to go into contacts, save to contacts, or cut and paste.this phone really has been one thing after another.but please help with the call log.thank you so much

I think it might be something with the settings maybe there's a set limit that you have allowed for the call logs, and when that limit is reached, your phone automatically deletes the rest of the contacts.There could be a limit for days and a limit for number of call logs. If you set your limit to 10 contacts on call log, it will delete the eleventh, if you set your call contact to clear after three days, than it will clear the contact log after three days.

Some S4 have both text and call logs, you might be trying to call from the message call log and thats why you get "cant be completed as dialed message." what you need to do is change your setting to only show call logs and exclude text logs. Try using Samsung log converter and see whether your problems will be solved.

Thanks, but this doesn't tell me where these limits ate set or where I could look to set them.I want the call log to go back at least 30 days.where can I set this
