Why does my email keep loading with no messages on my Galaxy S4?

Email problems with Galaxt S4

my inbox just keeps telling me its loading messages with no messages showing

Welcome to Android Central! Are you using the stock Email app, or the Gmail app? If you're using the Email app, try going to its settings and removing your email accounts, then add them back again.
