Why does my galaxy core prime not have sound unless I restart it?

I bought a galaxy core prime it was fine for the first few months then the sound stopped working I don't hear anything and when I make calls the other person dose not hear me either. It isnt something dumb like my sound setting I have checked and rechecked over an over again the only way for me to get sound is by restarting my phone. I restart my phone and get sound for about an hour then all of a sudden it cuts out and the only way to get the sound back is by once again restarting the phone.
