Why does my Laptop (Windows) keep losing connection when my Android connects to my network?

Laptop (Windows) keeps losing connection when my Android connects to my network.

My laptop is on my home wi-fi network. Whenever I connect my Android Samsung Galaxy S4 to my wifi, my laptop starts to lose connection. I am able to reconnect my laptop to my wifi network, but about 10-30 minutes later it will disconnect again. If I leave my Android off my WiFi Network, my laptop never loses connection.

Are they both using the same ip address?

Hello! Welcome to Android Central!! Try restting your wifi router. Or you may not have a router that can support multiple devices at once.
