why does my lg leon have a complete black screen?

so, ive had my lg leon for over a year and a half. its been an awesome phone. but since ive woken up this morning, every time i press the power button the screen just barely lights up with what i can only describe as a dim backlight. i think this has only happened once before, but my parents told me to leave it alone and just see what happens. it turned back on last time, but im not so sure now. since the first time with that black screen, ive also cracked my phone screen. so im guessing thats a factor now. i need to know whats going on here. PLEASE HELP!!!!!! (ps: its COMPLETELY unresponsive, just to clarify)

Charge it for an hour or so, using a charger that you know to be good. If still no go, it may need repairer attention.
