Why does my Nexus 5 restart, also why doesn't factory resetting help the problem?

why does my nexus 5 is restarting, also why dosent factory reseting help the problem?

I have tried factory reset 3 times now and still the device keeps on restarting on its own if it goes to sleep mode ...
Can any one help please

Have you tried Safe Mode?
