Why does my note 8 get stuck on contacts when trying to make a call?

So I noticed when I search for a contact and I click on the name to make a phone call, my phone freezes here. I tried wiping app data of both phone and contacts and still same issue. Also trying clearing cache and a restart and still face the same issue. Any idea?

I'm having a similar issue with mine as well ever since the recent phone update. Verizon Note 8.

I'm on this version using a factory unlocked, unbranded Australian device and don't have the problem.

Which country are you in and is it a Telco branded device?

I had the same problem, but it looks like that it gone when I switched off unlock by face recognition. Now I have just fingerprints+pin.
