Why my phone connected to my laptop device ,but not showing in my laptop device?

My phone is Zenfone 2

Welcome to Android Central! On the phone, do you see a USB connection notification? If so, swipe down and tap it, and make sure it's set to MTP.

Also, try a different USB cable, since some cables are for charging only (or the cable might be faulty). Try a different port on the computer as well.

You may need to install ASUS_Android_USB_drivers_for_Windows

Hello AC Question,

When you connect USB cable pull down the notification bar & select MTP option for file transfer, make sure the device drivers are installed correctly.

Windows XP doesn't support this latest feature.
