Why does my S10 spell "interested" as "intrested", and other things

[Android Central Question]

Just received an S10. The text to speech is horrible. Half the time when I say "period" it types out the whole word instead of putting a period. It can't even spell correctly. Like the word "interested" always come out "intrested." That isn't even a word as far as I know. I changed the engine to Google, as others suggested. The language is English (US)...which is me. I had no problems on my previous (very dated) phone Jperx. Does anyone have other suggestions?

Welcome to Android Central! Check your keyboard app's personal dictionary to make sure you didn't make it remember the misspelling at some point. If you see it there, remove it.
