S4 Gt 19500 wifi will give one bar even standing next to modem

hi i am recently facing this difficulty that my s4 is not receiving a strong signal can you help i have tried turning of and restarting, i have tried to turn off wifi power save mode, i have tried rebooting the modem ,the phone but nothing is working nothing is working i have tried the apps wifi analyzer channel count, B or N mode nothing is working.....help

Welcome to Android Central! Use an app like Wi-fi Analyzer to see if the wi-fi channel that your router is using is very congested--if so, go into the router settings and change the channel it's using. Whoops, sorry--I must have missed your mention of it in the OP.

Does this happen on any wi-fi network, or just your home network?
