Why does my S8+ pause any audio when listening?

So last week, I was touching the settings in my poweramp app, and I changed the settings in the headset options. Ever since that tweak, phone pauses on its own when listening to music, watching videos, or just playing any audio. I did change the settings back, but still no luck. Can someone please tell me what to do to fix this, I had this problem before on my S7 edge and for some reason couldn't find a solution, so now I feel like i'm in the same conflict again.

I had the same problem with my Samsung Galaxy S8 for about 5 weeks. Frustrating because I could find no help from AT&T, Samsung, etc.

Finally figured this problem out on my own.

Go to Phone Settings, Device Maintenance, Battery, then press Unmonitored Apps and add whatever video, or music App you use and it will finally stop pausing.

It worked for me anyway. I hope that helps.

Thank you, thank you, thank you 😁

Watching a vid on ogyoutube past the 2 minute point and the sleep screen would come on. I followed your instructions re unmonitored apps, and I am sure that's the solution. 😎
