Samsung G Alpha crash @ video

My Samsung G Alpha keeps crashing every time i watch a video. Does anyone knows how to fix this?

Re: Samsung G Alpha crash @ video

Welcome to Android Central! Which app are you using to watch the video? Is the video locally stored on internal storage or the microSD card, or is it streaming from the web?

Re: Samsung G Alpha crash @ video

When im on internal storage i got no problems when im on youtube / internet or twitch tv after some minutes it crashes..reset..

Ps: i did the question

Does it crash on both wi-fi and mobile data?

Re: Samsung G Alpha crash @ video

When it crash the screen goes black and goes to the samsung g alpha powered by android...

Re: Samsung G Alpha crash @ video

The question was if it crashes on wi-fi, mobile data, or both.

Re: Samsung G Alpha crash @ video

Try booting into Safe Mode, which temporarily disables all 3rd party apps.

If the problem disappears in Safe Mode, then something you installed is causing the problem. You may have to uninstall apps one by one until the problem disappears. If the problem persists in Safe Mode, then it's more likely to be a hardware or firmware problem.

Must be a system issue. Which Android version is the phone running?

Re: Samsung G Alpha crash @ video

Do you have Developer Options turned on? Are you able to switch between Dalvik and ART?

Re: Samsung G Alpha crash @ video

I can go into the developer options but i dont have the menu to change from dalvik to ART

Re: Samsung G Alpha crash @ video

There is no ART on these phones. OP's problem probably is heat related, e.g. a faulty hardware.

Re: Samsung G Alpha crash @ video

That's a good idea. Is the phone getting overly warm?

Re: Samsung G Alpha crash @ video

I had exactly the same problem when using an anime streaming app called Kissanime but since I stopped using the app so has the crashing and rebooting. Surprising it's happening with the browser and YouTube. Maybe try clearing the data and cache for those particular apps under application manager and see if it helps.
