Why does my Tab S2 Charging indicator shut off after 10 secs.?

Just received my GT S2 9.7 this week. Isn't the charging indicator supposed to stay on the screen while it's charging up? Mine only shows the icon indicator for several seconds and then the screen goes dark, even though it is still charging. The only way I can see the % of charge is to unplug it from the wall - then it shows me the %. Is there a setting somewhere to change this, or did I get a lemon? :-\

It sounds like you are turning it off to charge it. If so, try charging while it is still on. You can wake it (click power button) at any time and see the charge state. There is no need to turn it off for charging.

My percentage still shows, when I press any button, after the screen goes dark.

Ok, that worked. I wasn't turning it off to charge previously, but I just pushed the home button while it was charging w/a dark screen, and it came on and said how long it would be before fully charged. Then, just before screen went dark again, it showed me the current % of charge. I also d/l BatteryBot on it so could have checked that also I guess.
