Why does my TB think I'm in Seattle?

I'm in central Ohio!!!

Since I downloaded the update, a few times a day my clock shifts back three hours and when I open Google Maps, my TB shows me in downtown Seattle near Safeco Field! What the?!

There's no rhyme or reason as to when this happens or corrects itself either. When toggeling from LTE/CDMA to CDMA it sometimes corrects itself, but only briefly and then the time switches back to Seattle time after a few seconds. I typically find that it's corrected itself after picking up the phone an hour or two later.

Can anyone offer any advice, or experiencing any similar issues since the update?

it might be a GPS issue. Download and run GPS status and see if that fixes it

Thanks, but didn't work. Today it's not correcting itself either. Did a reboot and battery pull too.

Any other suggestions?

You can try clearing data from the "Clock and "Maps" app. Menu, Settings, Applications, Manage Applications, Running. Go into each app and use the "Clear data" option.

The Google location services (Menu, Settings, Location) are used for both Maps and the Weather Clock. They may have gotten corrupted after the update. This is why I always do a master reset (factory data reset) after updating to clear all these settings out and avoid any possible issues. :)

I have 2 thunderbolts in my family and both phones exhibit similar behavior (before AND after the latest update). I'm in Austin, TX and the phone will consistently think we are in Sunnyvale, CA whenever it feels like it and change the time to match. Really sucks because morning alarms go off 2 hours early.

Just searching on these forums it seems like other people have this issue but also other HTC phones as well. I think its a pretty big bug, but maybe its not affecting that many people otherwise it would get more attention.

Now that the GPS lock is quicker, I notice something funny. When I do see the time/location is wrong, if I open up Maps, the map will zoom really quickly to some random place in Sunnyvale, CA momentarily before locking in on my correct location.
