Why does phone screen let sticky noise when pressed?

A

AC Question

I bought used phone, and a few days later while cleaning it's screen i pressed a little harder and when i let go the pressure i could hear unsticking noise, like the noise you hear when you unstick masking tape from some surface. The phone is Samsung Galaxy Note Edge. Does this mean that phone screen is replaced or something? Also, is there an app that can show me if the phone is refurbished? Thanks in advance.

Welcome to Android Central! The screen might have been replaced. Look around the screen glass edges--does it look pretty clean, or is there any glue-like residue?

Any way you can contact the seller and ask about the phone's repair history?

I don't believe there's an app that will tell you if a phone is refurbished. If the seller is legitimate, they would have to inform you that the phone is refurbished. And if the refurbishment was done by the manufacturer, it's supposed to come in a box that clearly states it's refurbished.
