Why does predictive text not work on my new Samsung Galaxy S8 in the internet browser?

I have predictive text turned on so I know that is not the issue. As a matter of fact the predictive text works if I use Chrome as my browser, or in texting, or in almost any other keyboard entry mode when I am typing. But when I just use the basic standard Internet browser on the phone (not Chrome) it does not show. It did on my old S6 I just had though. It's almost as if Samsung intentionally made it so it would not work there suddenly. I have always preferred using the standard browser over Chrome on my phone so this is a feature I really used alot in there. I do have the auto replace feature turned off on predictive text because it never selected the right word that I intended it to be. But I did use the predictive text box regularly to manually select words from it to insert or finish a word I was typing. HELP! I miss the feature greatly.

Lol I was just thinking about this annoying problem! It's going to make me go back to Chrome if it continues.

I've researched this matter throughly and what I've found is that the predictive word doesn't work when you are typing in a search bar ie. Google chrome, msn, any type of browser or any other kind of search input field where the input field provides it's own predictive parameters. To verify this go to your text messages and start a new text and see if Gboard doesn't work there. I have a Samsung Galaxy S5 and Gboard works everywhere except where the input field that I'm using already provides it's own predictive words, punctuations etc etc.
Hope this can help answer some of the questions everyone has, I also found while researching this matter a small forum from the developers of Gboard and the way they where answering questions and talking about Gboard that the way I've explained it is the way it's supposed to work.
