Why does the status bar on my moto g4 keep coming down and going up by itself?

Tried starting in safe mode and anything else I could find to do in the forums and nothing has helped. Running Android 7.0. I don't have very many apps installed on my phone.

Welcome to the forums. That issue has been reported before and in most occasions it was related to Clean Master and similar apps. Do you have such an app installed?

Welcome to Android Central! If it still happens in Safe Mode, then it shouldn't be related to a 3rd party app. Do you have a screen protector on? If so, try taking that off.
