Android Central Question

I downloaded an emoji font and the emojis show up fine on the keyboard, but in some apps when I type them they dipslay as default android emojis. Is there a way to fix this?

Some apps support alternate versions of the emojis.
However, most apps only use the emojis installed with Android.

Which phone?
Which version of android?
Which carrier?
Which keyboard app?
Which apps are you using with these emojis?
