Hey, guys. I've bought a China-made Android cellphone which adopts the 2.2 OS. But when i installed Skype for Android, it said "application (skype) is in compatible with the system. Continue the installation anyway?" I chose to continue, and the installation was completed. But after i entered my user id and password to log in, it told me to re-install the app. So, is this phone compatible with skype? Why? Or is there something wrong with the installing? Thanks for answering.

Helps to know the make/model.

It may be that the app is checking either the phone model, or the processor type.

Hi, I am facing the same situation too.

My Android phone is a brandless China-made model with the words "4G LTE" on its back.

If I install Skype through the Android Market, it will prompt me with the error, ""-120".

If I install it through AppBrain, it will work but with LAGGING, and Video Calling will CRASH and Shut Down the application. (all running via wifi)

Looking at the About Phone, it says that it is a:

  • ARM v6
  • Android Version: 2.3.4
  • Kernel Version: 2.6.35.7
  • Model Number: e1101_v73_klx1ctp_capella
  • Baseband Version: MAUI.11AMD.W11.19.SP.V2,2011/10/01 03:35
  • Build Number: ALPS.GB.FDD2.MP.V2.14
  • Custom Build Version: 1324885510

p/s. What do they all mean btw?!
