Why I can't install apk even though my unknown source installations is enabled

Hi guys,

I've been having a hard time installing APK on my phone, I tried enabling the unknown source installation again but it didn't work, I tried a factory reset and nothing happens, I search in the internet but there was no tutorial or way to fix it

Is it giving you the message "can't parse package"? If it is it means the apk's aren't compatible with your version of Android. Are you running an older version of Android?

There's an app that I want to install but you can only download it on chrome

Are you getting an error message? APKs aren't guaranteed to work on every device -- it still has to be compatible.

What are the exact steps you took to allow installation from unknown sources? It's changed a little since the older days of Android.

Also, be very careful about installing APKs from random websites. It's a great way to get malware. I would only trust an APK from a website if it's directly from the app developer. Avoid the temptation to install APKs for cracked or modded apps -- for one thing, we don't allow discussion about that, and for another thing, that's fertile ground for malware.

When im installing the apk the loading will stop halfway and exit

Are you able to install other APKs? If so, then the issue is likely with that particular APK. It might be a bad file, or it might be incompatible.

I tried other kinds of apk but the install loading doesn't finish halfway through it will stop at the middle and then stop installing

Hmm, not sure what the problem could be. You don't have any 3rd party antivirus apps installed, right? If you do, try turning that off.
