Suddenly on the screen of my nokia 5.3 phone, purple lines came out and the pixel quality decreased. is it possible to fix it without repairing the phone?

I had that happen after an update on a phone. I thought for sure it was a screen failure, but after I cleared the cache partition, and restarted it, problem solved. It was a software issue. I've also seen a factory reset fix it.... it's a last ditch effort, but you really have nothing left to lose
