My wife and daughter both have iPhones and love them and have not had any problems. I have read on these forums about different problems Infuse users have. I want to go with the Infuse but can't decide. Any help would be great.

PS I am one who wants to get away from Apple but they make a great product.

I'm in the same boat. I've currently purchased both the OG Droid and the DroidX the first day they came out. But sadly, I am having to switch to AT&T. I am currently going back and forth between the Atrix and the Infuse, and need some helpin deciding which is best. I've been lurking the forums of both phones, so I'm getting ideas. One thing I've read about the Infuse, is that there is no LED notification light? This would be a huge bummer. I know that it is just a light... but still. :)

Any help would be great!

I have had an IPhone 3, 3GS, and an IPhone 4. Everyone of them are excellent phones but I actually got bored with IPhone and now have the Infuse.

I have always been a gadget nut and have probably owned every PDA that was ever built and I missed the customization of a PDA. If you want to customize your phone such as fancy widgets on your home page, different clocks and sizes, and whatever else you can imagine then you want to have an Android phone.

The reason I went with the Infuse is the screen size. The IPhone screen is so small you can hardly read a web page. At least I can't.

If you want a solid phone and you mainly text the IPhone is the best out there. If you want customization you want Android. If you want a large screen you want the Infuse.

Some will say you can Jailbreak your IPhone and get the customization but you're still stuck with small screen.

I'm an Apple fanboy and have used Apple computers and gadgets since 1984. There I've said it. :) Now, when it comes to the phone, after having an iPhone 3G for 2.5 years, I was ready to switch. The two main reasons were: larger screen (actually readable!) and customization. I didn't want a "generic" phone that looks the same as million users. My Infuse is personalized the way I want it. As a bonus, being away from Apple's control, I can also root my Infuse and not worry about the next OS update wiping off what I'd done.

Coming from an iphone is going to be tough because you hadn't so much invested in iTunes. but the infuse looks like an awesome device. Android isn't difficult to fall in love with. The screen on the Infuse is the best that I have seen as far as size and color. Once you are able to download all of your favorite apps and sync your content through the cloud with ease, you will start to forget about the iPhone.

I was in same boat, loved the iP4, but they are overdue to update it, hardware and software. Owned infuse for 2 weeks now. Love it.

iTunes was a big concern, but doubletwist lets me still use iTunes. works great for syncing!

So glad I made the change. For the few things i miss on iphone, i have dozens more I got on infuse. My wife's iPhone feels like a tiny out-dated toy now, compared to my infuse.

I got my Infuse on Friday and although it is a good phone there are a few things that are making me seriously considering going back to my iPhone 4.

I am getting my infuse delivered tomorrow, I have been an iPhone user since day one and am real excited to start using the droid. No more ip4 after tonight! I will comment on my initial impressions when the device is delivered.

Truy using the Iphone after you use an IPAD. The screen will seem even smaller.

Infuse = Screen + configuarable.

Iphone = Small screen and stays the same no matter what.

I truly don't get it why it's so hard to switch from an iPhone to an Android phone. In my house, everything was Apple until a month ago. Yes, I'm like an Apple subsidiary. I have Macs, iPad, iPod, iPhone, and now it seems like ages since I had an iPhone. It sits on a dock near my stereo just being used to stream Pandora or XM radio. Everything I could do with an iPhone 3G (that's the model I left behind), I continue doing with the Infuse. I can sync the Infuse just as easily as I did the iPhone. Yes, Kies works on a Mac. I've installed and used it. But why do I need to use it? Everything gets synched to the clouds. Prior to switching phones, I already had been Googlized: calendar and contacts. So, getting the Infuse made my life easier. No need to plug in to sync it. By the way, isn't that the way Apple is heading towards now? Isn't the next iOS 5 going to sync via wi-fi?

The one recommendation I have for anyone trying to make a switch is to take an inventory of the apps on the iPhone. List all you have and check the Android Market. A lot of the mainstream apps are common to the Android system. I did not lose any of my essential apps. Of course the Android OS is different. To me, however, that was a big, really big, reason to switch. I like to customize my phone to be like me. Standardization is fine, but you lose your individuality. Case in point: check out the thread about Infuse Screen Shots.

I came from an Iphone... Although a solid phone.. The screen size of the infuse is so much better for internet surfing and movie watching, as well as navigation.. You can fully customize an android phone, even to the point of resembling an Iphone-4! Every phone on the market has its own pro and cons.. I grew sick of the iphone hype and just wanted something larger and more enjoyable. If you play games the 4.5" screen size of the infuse is the way to go.

My wife and son have Iphone 4. I have the infuse. When I tried to help my wife get going with hers ( she had a blackberry before) I had a lot of trouble texting with their keyboard. My original keyboard on the infuse was great but, i downloaded the gingerbread keyboard and wow, I dont struggle with hitting the wrong keys much anymore. Also with the iphone its much harder to read texts, emails and other items. Probably becasue i'm use to the larger screen.
