I truly don't get it why it's so hard to switch from an iPhone to an Android phone. In my house, everything was Apple until a month ago. Yes, I'm like an Apple subsidiary. I have Macs, iPad, iPod, iPhone, and now it seems like ages since I had an iPhone. It sits on a dock near my stereo just being used to stream Pandora or XM radio. Everything I could do with an iPhone 3G (that's the model I left behind), I continue doing with the Infuse. I can sync the Infuse just as easily as I did the iPhone. Yes, Kies works on a Mac. I've installed and used it. But why do I need to use it? Everything gets synched to the clouds. Prior to switching phones, I already had been Googlized: calendar and contacts. So, getting the Infuse made my life easier. No need to plug in to sync it. By the way, isn't that the way Apple is heading towards now? Isn't the next iOS 5 going to sync via wi-fi?
The one recommendation I have for anyone trying to make a switch is to take an inventory of the apps on the iPhone. List all you have and check the Android Market. A lot of the mainstream apps are common to the Android system. I did not lose any of my essential apps. Of course the Android OS is different. To me, however, that was a big, really big, reason to switch. I like to customize my phone to be like me. Standardization is fine, but you lose your individuality. Case in point: check out the thread about Infuse Screen Shots.
