Why is com.sec.spp.push network connection linked to Amazon data services Ireland?

I recently downloaded an app called Network connections. The app com.sec.spp.push, which I believe is responsible for recieving info from Samsung related to my device, is connected to Amazon Data Services from Ireland with ISP 18.182.246.129. The same is true for Game Optimizing Service app but it's connected to Amazon data services Japan, both of which are flagged as red with abuse issues. I have a Samsung Galaxy S8. Can anyone shed some light on why these connections exist in this way? Both apps have Read/Write database, read-logs, view network connections, and full network access.

An important first question is, where are you located?

As a general rule based on legal requirements, data about you tend to be located on servers in the same "area" you are.
The way that Amazon hosts services on its servers may add a twist to this.

Yes, location of the servers can be important. The EU has much stronger rules than the USA. Ireland is a very popular place for EU data storage.

Anything from com.sec.* would normally be a system app from your phone maker (Samsung Electronics Corp).

Can't say I know anything about "Game Optimizing Service". If the maker is in Japan, their servers being there would not be a surprise.

How much faith do you place in the app "Network Connections"?

There is always the possibility of malware on your phone. However, getting malware onto an android phone takes effort. What points you in that direction?

Well, I can appreciate that the thread may be helpful to others but the kind of information I need to disclose is personal and I'd rather have it visible ed to the world. Just curious and it's no problem, but are you getting involved because you're a moderator and were in the process of approving my post?

Hi, just trying give you best experience here , I'm not sure if anyone would like to PM and are free to do so, but I think when a thread is created you can have more people chime in and help as much as possible.
