Why is gmaps consuming my battery?

7% is 7% no matter how many days bro. think of how percentages work, its a ratio, not an amount. 10% would mean a tenth of your battery had been wasted/used by something

having said that, if youve used maps a lot but after 9days its still at 7%... thats a lot of battery use

No duh. But like I said, I've USED the maps app to do navigation, so some usage is expected. The point is it's NOT killing my battery. I easily get 12-15 hours out of a full charge. The usage the OP is showing is not normal for maps. SOMETHING is actively using the GPS, and he needs to figure out what.
