Why is it that I don't have a message tone on my Samsung J2 Prime?

I deleted my Notifications folder in my device, maybe this is the reason why I dont have a message ringtone. How can I retrieve my notifications folder back?

Welcome to Android Central! The Notifications directory is only for custom tones -- the directory that stores the phone's preinstalled tones is a protected system directory, which you can't access unless the phone is rooted. Is it rooted? Are you able to choose a preinstalled tone?
