If this makes you feel better look at the galaxy s line of phones and samusung the poor fascinate just got froyo a couple of weeks ago and that phone has been out a whole lot longer then the thunderbolt. HTC has been pretty good about getting there updates out so hopefully we will see GB soon

They need to remove the carrier out of the mix and HTC just push their own updates. VZW is too slow on updating and has too much crap on their plate to dedicate resources to pushing updates that 95% of their customers don't even know happen. I don't know why they insist on putting themselves in the middle of it.

Yes couple weeks as in five months and fascinate got their gb leak recently and gaining fast . Ive had my charge about a month and have seen 2 updates so samsung is working to clean up its act

uhm...updates to fix issues after release really doesn't mean they're cleaning up their act. Just means it was buggy in most cases.

Funny how when other companies do it,its called support, when samsung starts to do it ,its called fixing issues.

If it's not a major os update, it's bug fixes regardless of manufacturer. And iirc, the Fascinate got bug fixes shortly after release but we see how that ended up. Samsung still has a lot of repairing to do to their image in US markets.

FYI, its all Verizons phones, not just the TB. Hell you have already better updates than both my Dinc1 and Dinc2. Quit crying over spilled milk.

Thunderbolt has had GB for a long time guys. I put CM7 on my friends and I know of like 3-5 roms that are GB. What are you guys complaining about? If you dont like 2.2 put 2.3 on there. Simple as that. Roms are less buggy and more stable than official releases from the carriers.

I'll take any HTC Android phone over any Samsung Android phone... any day of the week or year.

That's a good one -- and SO TRUE.

Here we have a phone (Thunderbolt) that was the hottest think since sliced bread only THREE MONTHS AGO......and NOW it's the Thunderbust, the Thunderdud, the Thunderwho?

By the time the two year contract is over (for those that go that route) the phone is 6 generations behind the times. It hasn't been upgradeable for almost a year, and you can barely use as a phone...maybe text and a date reminder.

What year its been out for 4 Months.The phone works greatSo what are you talking about ???.My TB works great.

It is just too bad that so many of them choose to come on here just to moan and complain. And then they can't even get their facts straight! Last phone to ever get an update? Heh, they should have been Fascinate owners. Would have probably been in an asylum by the time it got Froyo!

I was a Fascinate owner. Rooting and ROMing was all that could save that phone.

As a former BlackBerry user I am use to updates not working correctly and often making things worse. If you think things are bad with the TB, try using a Storm 2 for a month. Having said that, my TB works perfectly. I put the update on and still functions flawlessly. No restarts, no freezing, nothing. It just works perfectly.

The only complaint I would have is the same as everyone else, battery life. It was OK before, but they just released 4G in Rancho Cucamonga and boy did it KILL my battery. Even if I don't use 4G the battery dies in just a few hours. To fix this I just turn off 4G when I am not using it. Kind of a pain but it works. I hope the update helps with this issue.

As a side note, I have said goodbye to BlackBerry for good. I can't believe how getting something new shows how bad something you have gotten use to really is.

Same here.

Even with the MR1 update issue and less battery life, the Thunderbolt is actually USEFUL compared to the hardware and software failure of my Fascinate.
