Why is Moto g5 s plus not unlocking on correct pin

[Android Central Question]

I have a moto g5 s plus and when i try to unlock it and enter correct pin the screen goes dark and the lock screen comes again as if i never entered the pin. it sometimes prompt the message 'System UI has Stopped' . And now i cant even unlock using fingerprint and i am totally locked out of my phone. please help
