Why is my balance getting deducted?

[Android Central Question]

I have a Xiaomi Mi A2 Lite and use 2 sims from different networks. I never turn on mobile data and always use wifi. But still my balance is getting deducted from both the sims. When I inquired the customer care centres of both networks they said my data is being used. When I checked in the network providers app, some bits of data is getting used which does not show in data usage of my phone. What do I do? I neither call anybody nor use data. Please help.

If you don't use the phone or an internet connection, turn on airplane mode. (You can then turn on WiFi, but everything else will be turned off.)
