Battery only charging with ac cable and usb cable connected together

Hi guys, I am having this issue with a Chinese tablet. The battery died and I replaced it for a new one. But when I tried to charge it, it wouldn't, in my desperate situation I plugged both charging cable and micro usb cable to power outlets a voila! it started charging. But the screen will not stop blinking. I have unplugged it because I am afraid of burning the circuit inside the tablet. Does anyone know what the problem might be? Thank you

If both cables are long, that is the problem.
Try using a shorter cable.
