why is my bluetooth device connected but still won't work?

I have an android 4.1.1 rk30sdk with rockchip. I have a Bluetooth headset connected and it works. I bought a bluetooth pageflip foot controller so I can go to the next song in a set list in Lyric pad. The foot controller shows connected in Bluetooth settings as premium pedal. In premium pedal settings it shows connected to input device. Still not working. I paired the pedal with another tablet and it worked fine. The pedal has 5 modes and should work just like a keyboard or a mouse. Page up or down, left and right arrows, up and down arrows, left and right mouse click and space and enter. Nothing works on this tablet.

Hope someone can help.

Welcome to Android Central! It can be very hard to tell with these generic no-name Android devices. It might have faulty firmware or hardware. Unfortunately, there is probably no support from the manufacturer available.

See what happens if you unpair the headphones, and only have the pedal paired.

I just got a PageFlip bluetooth pedal. It pairs to my iPad but will not pair to my 2 Android tablets. Could you help me on this?
