why is my galaxy s6 edge plus taking so long to restore?

My last galaxy s6 edge plus needed a replacement so i set the replacement phone up and its currently restoring but it's taking forever, why?
 
Welcome to Android Central! How long is forever? 30 minutes? An hour? Several hours?
