Why is my HTC one M8 wifi so slow?

My HTC one m8 just recently started to be reallllly slow. My home wifi works for everything else in the house: Mac, Macbook pro, parents iPhones. And when I turn on my 4g, it works fine, but when i switch to wifi, it hardly works. The results for the speedtest are 15.63 Mbps for Download, and 1.48mbps for Uploads

I am having a similar issue where my WiFi keeps bouncing on and off but everything else in the house works fine with no issues

I have noticed since lollipop 5.0.1, the WiFi disconnects more regularly than previously. I'm hoping the update 5.1 will fix in August

I used to have issues with my wifi disconnecting. That was until I separated my WiFi frequencies. So now I have 2.4ghz and 5ghz separate, rather than automatically switching between the 2. You need to go into your WiFi Router settings to do this.
