Why is my LG K8 acting strange, like it's hacked?

Um so I've a lgk8 2018 phone and lately its been acting weird mainly being today like suddenly while I was cooking like after I was done and started eating yk (tmi) but its important. So suddenly it started taking pictures like on my back camera as my front is always covered but the back it said doing that as I was eating and yk like a normal person you'll be scared and freaked out so I immediately turned to stop it after again and again I tried it still kept taking pictures even when I tried to stop it N I got scared and quickly powered it off and rested but that didn't help so I had no choice but to factory rested but b4 that I turned off the WiFi thinking that was the problem no I uninstalled Twitter BC I thought it was sending its pictures to Twitter but it was my message icon instead of that like I was scared but after that I turned off my WiFi then had no choice but to turn it off and restart. But after doing so I turned it back on not entering my email etc and without WiFi it was still running? did I TELL YA THAT IT KEPT TURNING LOWER MY VOLMUE LIKE?? I EVEN TOOK OFF MY HEADPHONES BUT THE ICON WAS SYILL THERE MEANING IT ISNT ME?! I cried and begged my sister to help me but nothing seems to be working then I turned it off and put in a bag trying to remember since IT WAS MY FIRST PHONE?! who wouldn't cried and start praying for a miracle. But after that I decided to use a old phone who was my sisters to do research and I see nothing about this topic?! HELP I TURNED BACK AFTER GOING RESEARCH THEN I DELETED THE PICTURES the person took to find no face and nothing so I decied to have guts and finally delete it. Like idk what to do I been stressed all day long its tiring sorry english very hard. But pls help me.

Welcome to Android Central! When you saw the rear camera taking pictures, did you see the Camera app actually open and then take the pictures? Do you have a screen protector installed?

Your headphones might have had something to do with it, because a problematic headphone jack can send false commands to the phone. Was this happening only while headphones were plugged in? Try blowing out the headphone jack with a can of compressed air, and then use a toothpick to root around for any debris.

For what it's worth, the likelihood that you've been hacked is very low. "Hackers" don't do this kind of stuff -- their goal is to get sensitive information from your phone without you knowing about it, and as long as you're not frequenting shady websites (like porn, gambling, "free" movies/music that have been pirated) and only installing apps from reliable sources like the Play Store, your chances of truly getting hacked remain low.

Its idk I'm the same person from before but like I still need some help and answers to get to the bottom of this and start using my phone again like idk if its safe or not to use it.

tytytytyty Idk how this works but looks like I'm using it ! But back to the problem sorry for the late reply like I was saying my phone randomly takes photos with the back camera like it was on my bed while I was eating a snack and suddenly it started randomly doing that so like the post above I got scared but like as I can clearly remember I think my headphones were on then I jacked it complety off thinking that my phone was being hacked. like completely turned it off and restarting it to nothing happen but then after a while it started doing it again like my sister tried stopping the volume from going do again and again to end up in the end going down like yk so then I got worried then stressed just turned the whole phone off after restarting to power it back on afterwards then nothing was there like the picture taking and volume nothing. but I got worried and thought maybe the person who is hacking my phone went to sleep like idk Im pretty weird but yk.

I still don't know if its being hacked or not BC like the photos were literally being send with messages? I think but like it kept taking pictures and making videos, gifs but once you look @ it there's really nothing there to only see my bed and nobody but Im sure it was being send on messages. And the volume kept going down every time but it was literally down I always use headphones making the top icon thing silent.

As I mentioned above, my initial thought is that the headphone jack is causing issues. Again, try cleaning out the headphone jack by blowing it out with a can of compressed air, and use a toothpick to root around for any debris.

Again, the chances that you've been hacked are low.

I understand I'll try to see what I can get those items from and try again with it to see if things change but I really won't understand why I'll get hacked if all I do is watch kpop but thank you ma'am or sir for your time.

May I ask is there another safe way to clean out my phone instead of compressed air?

If you have a mini vacuum intended for computer use, that'll work as well. Otherwise, you can use a toothpick to root around -- wooden is preferred, not metal.
