Why is my Moto G dropping calls?

Moto G Dropping calls

I'm new here and not a techie so please forgive me.

I have a Moto G (2013) and it consistently drops calls while I am talking to people. It was fine before the kitkat update and now I really want to throw it against the wall.. (not doing so because phones are darn expensive). I have tried rebooting and factory reset... Is there anything else I can do??

It could be a problem with your SIM card. Did you cut it by hand? Is it an old one?
You could try taking it out and back again.

New sim card, pre-cut, but I will take it out and put it back in. and let you know the out come. Thank you.
