Why is my Nexus 6 running so slowly?

I've had my Nexus 6 for 4 months now, love it except that lolipop seems to run really slowly. I've been on google, and there are mentions of the compulsory encryption on the Nexus 6 slowing it down, but I have disabled this and it still runs slowly. My camera, for example, takes 4 seconds to load!

Any fixes or ideas about why this is the case?

I've even downloaded a 'RAM booster' app which doesn't speed it up much more. It's similar even after switching the phone off and on again.

I think you can uninstall the RAM booster app.
For the sloth, have you tried a Cache Partition wipe?
Get back to us if it doesn't help.
