Why is my phone asking me to enter a privacy protection password to unlock?

I had this same problem on a alcatel OT android phone, after looking through different threads including this one I came up with a brilliant idea.
Most times when the "enter privacy protection password" shows up and you hard reset your phone using toggle keys there is a brief moment when you get to enter your phone main menu after setting it up but only for a brief moment, well in that brief moment i went into settings and enable USB DEBUGGING.
I proceeded to download WONDERSHARE MOBILEGO SOFTWARE and rooted my device using the rooting tool that came with the mobilego software (you could also use kingroot rooting software),.....I then downloaded a App uninstaller tool using the said software (it has an app installer tool that installs apps directly from Playstore) and deleted the Anti theft app from the phone its the Anti theft software that causes this problem whenever you change sim cards P.s YOU NEED ROOT TO DO THIS!!!

I hope this helps it worked for me

i changed the sim card of my phone and after rebooting the device, it shows a lock page saying " please enter privacy protection password to unlock". this page don't have Google log in method even.
please help me out....

Hey man,

You say you've fixed this problem a few times with Tecno phones. I'm having the same problem on my Cubot X11, I assume they are both fairly similar phones, being both cheap and Chinesy.

I am trying to flash it but my USB debugging is off (with no way to activate it as the password protection is blocking me out immediately).

Any ideas on how to do it would be greatly appreciated.

Cheers!

Re: enter privacy protection password to unlock

hello i had the same problem today. i tried all SIM PINs but nothing has changed. what is the solution? your above answer does not help. sorry :(

I m also have the same problem,i reset my android galaxy s6 but now it ask me to enter privacy protection password to unlock.where can I get that

When you set the phone up you must of had anti-theft switched on. There would normally be a setting to add a trusted administrator who would have received a text to confirm they had been added and also a text to say when the sim card had been changed. They can get your protection number by sending a request to your phone.

To solve this problems just go to sony store they have device that can unlock the protection..

I already flash my sony m4 agua but doesn't work ..My solution is I go to sony store and fix that problem..
