Why is my phone not charging? it keeps vibrating with a battery and loading circle every 5 seconds

I had dropped my phone in water about a week ago, I put it in a bag of rice and it wouldn't charge for a day or so and then it started working okay but it would charge very slowly. Recently my phone says it is charging but when I play games or check Facebook, the battery life starts draining instead of charging. Now my phone won't even charge So I decided to take out the battery and charge it when it is off but it won't even turn on and it just vibrates every 5 seconds and a battery with a loading circle keeps on coming up. I've looked on various websites and had no luck. Someone please help! Thank you.

It may have not liked being dropped into water. I don't think you have many solutions here.
